■ Wellmann Motorcycles presents the world’s first Hyperbike.

It’s powered by a proprietary, CNC-milled, inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering an estimated 800+ horsepower. The chassis, bodywork, wheels, and every other component that can be made from carbon fiber is. Titanium and CNC-milled, aircraft-grade billet aluminum is used extensively.

■ VISION

01

to lead a new era of motorcycling—one where rider and machine are fused by power, design, and purpose.

In 1992, the Hypercar shattered boundaries. It forced an entire industry to evolve—faster engines, sharper designs, smarter systems. It wasn’t just a car. It was a declaration. These cars quickly ascended to the heights in better design, electronics and aerodynamics. Designer and builder Steve Wellman of WELLMANNMOTO has issued a bold challenge to the entire motorcycle industry with a revolutionary new design known as the NAGUAL—the world’s first Hyperbike.

To transform the motorcycle into an experience of pure connection—between rider, machine, and meaning.
Inspired by over thirteen years of sculptural development, this vision reflects a commitment to redefining the rider’s role—not just as an operator, but as part of the machine.

■ MISSION

To design and build the world’s first Hyperbike—crafted from carbon, titanium, and obsession—uniting high performance with rider transformation.
Driven by a proprietary 800+ horsepower engine, carbon fiber chassis, voice-activated controls, and an individually calibrated helmet system, the Nagual is more than a machine—it's the physical embodiment of a lifelong promise.

about us

A CHILDHOOD ENCOUNTER

It all started when I was six years old and decided I would take a walk in what I thought of as MY NEIGHBORHOOD in the magical streets of suburban Portland, Oregon,1956. I wandered around and witnessed all the things that still live in my imagination to this day. After a while I came to the driveway of our neighbor that owned and was working on a racecar with his son. Mesmerized by its allure, I walked near and gazed in awe at the naked running chassis of the most exotic machine I had ever seen. I felt a spell cast over me as I approached in wonder. The car’s body had been removed revealing its raw inner workings. The Dad walked up near me and pointed at the engine, telling me, “That’s an Offenhauser engine, the same kind used in cars that race at the Indianapolis 500.” He continued describing the car’s various components - the driver’s seat, steering wheel, gear shifter, gas tank, radiator, wheels… when suddenly my hearing vanished and I saw his mouth moving but no words coming out. I began to feel dizzy and decided that I had better go home. I turned to leave and began walking unsteadily back down the driveway. I knew that I had just glimpsed a secret, the inner workings of the universe. I stopped when I got to the end of the driveway and promised myself, “Someday I’m going to have something just like that!” Looking at my finished prototype is truly wonderful and just what I expected.

From Dreams to Reality

Sooner or later the dream smashes into the hard surface of metal, carbon and rubber in the form of frames, engines, wheels, tires and bolts of many kinds and sizes. The “How” of the dream can be complex and taxing to most people, but to the artist and designer it is the raw clay of the sculptor, the color and texture of the paint to the painter.

Leonardo Da Vinci famously urged the would-be artist to “think with your hands” because it is only then that the artist becomes truly engaged in the work. I have spent the better part of thirteen years watching what my fingers have been making.

Many times when I felt at a loss for ideas I would sit in my well-worn lawn chair and just stare at the bike until “it told me” what needed to be done and how to do it! In the end, it was more of an evolutionary process than a planned construction. I feel very fortunate to have a front row seat in its birth.
